Ghetto $lang is finally on a label! Soon with a full length album! It’ll be titled “Blist-Aút”!
I’ve been influence by a lot of stuff, many old and new. I always say, “One thing I don’t like is when bands keep the same sound for many of there albums”. I keep this words to heart! People lose interest fast, (so do I). You should never be bored playing your own songs.
Make it interesting for yourself so your audience stays interested!

Me and my friend Tony love making music, here’s our band “Ghetto $lang” talking about the future and the past

We have’nt played in a long time, and now we are back in the “lab” making what we like to do. We have been recently falling in love with Funky, groovy, dance, electric-funk music! To give much love to the one and only “Prince”, and “Parliament”, “Earth Wind and Fire”, all the way to artist, “Afrika Bambaataa”, the creator or one of the First to do Electronic-Funkadelic..and how can i forget..”Funkadelic”. So needless to say, we are wanting to make more funky music. As a band, or duo, we want to reinvent our sound, style, mood and feel.

Even tho our songs on the link to our myspace, has our older stuff, which back then we were into more 80’s pop, or new wave. Not a throwback, but you or people can say that. Even tho i still love 80’s music, the 80’s had some amazing R&B, soulful funk music!

I don’t smoke weed anymore. I’ll leave it to the kids. I’m 27 with a business to run and I need to be alert and focused with my mind strong. For those who still get it on, smoke one in my memory as your favorite lonely stoner.

This is not a joke. I know most of you wanna see me all drugged out and fucked up and I know misery loves company, but I’m sorry those days are over. I had a good run, Amsterdam and all. I’m happy being sober. I’m happy being a new me. I don’t give a fuck who thinks of me different, you didn’t care about me in the first place if you can’t be proud and happy for me for growing and starting a new chapter. I’m not your puppet or your tap dancing drug addict here to be your miserable muse, i always made music for me to help myself find understanding. I have finally learned from the words in my songs. I love who loves me and who really cares about me.

Learn from this, there’s always light at the end of the tunnel. Hell does have an exit, and I found it. For those who are looking for a way out, I left the door open, and I’ll be waiting for whoever wants to grow with me. Peace and love, Cudi.
